Weird Stuff

I can now run BOTH Windows and Mac OSX on my MacBook. As my roommate Jeff says, "What, the universe hasn't imploded yet?

I hate Windows, it takes forever to start up and is only half as cool as my Mac, maybe not even half. But, because I am an undergraduate majoring in mechanical engineering I can come here and get absolutely FREE AND LEGAL Autodesk products. (required for said professor with bow and arrow's egineering design class). And because my mom wants to see my face, so I must use the windows version of Skype. Bah, the mac Skype doesn't support webcams yet.

...~...~...

People seem to judge my command of the English language on differing scales. Its all cool when I'm just chilling with them and then when they find out that I'm international, they're like, "Whoa, you can speak English very well!!" Wtf man. So I go, "Nah, I'm only ok at this language" And they go, "But seriously, its good..."

T_T

Nevetheless, it appears that I still won't be returning with an ang moh accent yet. The other day, at some christian fellowship's wecome event (where there was FREE food), some girl tapped me on the shoulder and asked, "Hey, are you from South East Asia, say Malaysia or Singapore?"

She was Indonesian.

...~...~...

I still have neither games nor music on my laptop. The only stuff I have are the songs in my phone and that Planetshakers CD I got from Reuben and Vincent. Its different somehow here. Everyone works hard here (by everyone, I refer to those in my dorm, I have not seen enough of the "others" to form a defendable opinion as of yet). All my life I've been *cough*perasan case*cough* one of the best in most of the things I do and now I'm here in Berkeley and I cannot but Cal friends' achievements.

Even my roommate, the playa and partier that he is, has such a distinct vision of his future. He's been in political ads since he was like 10 years old, has interned on >4 campaigns, knows Howard Dean personally, has contacts with other politicians in other states and has a routemap to become Govenor and then influence things on a national level. Of course, he's going to have to go out-of-state to make that happen. Its sad being a Democrat in California

merdeka came and went but I didn't feel much. I'vve felt all my life that making such a big fuss of 31st August is crap, 'cause everyone in East Malaysia cannot really share in thar euphoria. Not fair, innit? And I had no holiday then. I WAS STRIPPED OF MY HOLIDAY. I WANT HOLDIAYS. HOLIDAYS GOOD. But i will get one, 'cause here in the states, they're celebrating labor day come monday
